The Wave street car in Fort Lauderdale cleared its latest hurdle as the Broward County commission gave final approval for the $142 million electric street car. The Wave street car will service downtown Ft Lauderdale. The initial approval was for a small loop around downtown Ft Lauderdale but the larger plan is a 2.7 mile system that would run from Broward General Hospital to just North of Broward Blvd. For a video of the exact route click here.
